Call for Papers

Call for papers – Issue 11.1 (2026) 

Musica Theorica, a peer-reviewed music journal of the Brazilian Society for Music Theory and Analysis (TeMA), welcomes submissions in English, Spanish, and Portuguese of original research for publication in Issue 11.1 (2026). Submissions are peer reviewed by members of the editorial board and/or ad hoc reviewers team. The process from submission to final decision usually takes from two to three months. Publication of Issue 11.1 is estimated for July 2026.

Submissions are welcomed on all aspects of music theory and analysis and their reverberations in other branches of music knowledge. Manuscripts should be submitted online or, if necessary, emailed directly to the editor (gabrielbianconavia@gmail.com). Author guidelines are available on the journal’s submissions page (http://revistamusicatheorica.tema.mus.br/index.php/musica-theorica/about/submissions). The deadline for submissions to Issue 11.1 is April 10th.
